STUDIO AKA Director KRISTIAN ANDREWS created this short animated portrait of a 'service user' from SPECTRUM – a charity that supports individuals and families dealing with Autism.
After visiting the organisation's care homes and meeting Michelle - the subject of his film - Kristian was inspired to tell a story through Michelle’s perspective of her world, with his own signature observational drawing style representing the world outside her viewpoint . The result beautifully interweaves the two starkly different illustration styles to tell the story of one person to whom Spectrum have made a huge difference.
Kristian’s piece is one of 5 films commissioned by the nice folks at ART & GRAFT on behalf of Spectrum to raise awareness of the charity and was screened at the Spectrum Art Auction, which was held at the Saatchi Gallery on 4th July 2012.
